Anatomy & Physiology for Pilates & Movement
 

This course has been specifically designed to satisfy the pre-requisite requirement of the Diploma of Professioanl Pilates Instruction and Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction.

 

Ideal for those with no anatomy & physiology background and for those needing to refresh their knowledge. Fitness instructors and personal trainers can also can 3 PDP's with Kinect Australia.

 

Learn how to apply the study of anatomy and physiology to the Pilates Method and movement

Topics include;

 

  • Planes & axis of movement & anatomical terms
  • The skeletal system, including bones, joints & ranges of movement
  • Muscular system, including muscles types, actions, movement pattern, origin, insertion
  • Application of the musculoskeletal system to pilates repertoire
  • How to analyse movement including agonist, antagonist & stabilisers

Additional costs include required reading - Anatomy of Movement by Calais Germaine plus an anatomy pocket atlas.
