Matwork classes are classes designed to tone and strengthen the whole body, focusing heavily on core strength and flexibility. These classes are suited to healthy bodies and are not suitable for people with chronic injuries or people with back injuries. Those with injuries or condition may be more suited to personalised studio sessions. If in doubt please check with our friendly staff to see if these classes are suitable for you.

Class Descriptions

 

Beginners Course  - 10 weeks - designed to teach you the foundations of the Pilates Method & for you to begin your journey to freedom of movement whilst improving strength & flexibility. Participants must complete 10 beginners classes before progressing to the other classes

 

Start Dates

Monday 7.30pm - May 10th, July 26th, Oct 4th

Tuesday 7.30pm - May 25th, Aug 17th, Oct 26th  (7 weeks only)

 

Progressive - An introduction to more progressive repertoire & developed understanding of the concepts & principles of the Pilates method. This class is designed to allow you to work according to your own strength and experience.

 

Small Apparatus - An introduction to more progressive repertoire whilst including the use of varied small apparatus including theraband, magic circle & the Pilatesstick

 

Note : All matwork classes are designed for participants free of joint & muscle injuries/conditions such as spinal issues, low back pain or neck pain

 

Duration

All classes are 1 hr in length

 

Price

10 week beginners course - $170 (12 week expiry)

10 Visit Pass - $170 (15 week expiry)

What to wear

Lose comfortable clothing (without tight waistband or seams) and a clean pair of socks. Mats are provided.

N.B - The Centre is closed on Public Holidays and Beginner courses are scheduled accordingly.
