Rebecca Divjak

“I love everything about the Pilates method, and I love that it has instigated a positive change in my life. It gives me joy to be able to give this gift to others”

Originally from Sydney, Rebecca has lived in many places but has made Melbourne her home for the last twenty years. Her long-term interest in health and wellbeing led her to the Pilates method fifteen years ago. It was a revelation as it was the first exercise modality that made sense to her and provided immediate benefits, and she has been hooked ever since. She considers Pilates to be her movement medicine, providing both strength and mobility to the physical body alongside meditative effects for calming and nourishing the mind.

It was the desire to share this with others that led to formal study with National Pilates Training. Rebecca completed the Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction in 2015. After discovering a love of teaching and wanting to deepen her knowledge she then went onto complete the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction in 2018.

A lifelong learner, and to continue developing knowledge and skill as a Pilates teacher, she will be commencing the Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method in June 2022.

Rebecca loves teaching people from all walks of life, and she puts emphasis on the fact that Pilates meets you where you are, no matter your age, gender, current fitness level or experience. Clients can expect classes to be both challenging as well as nurturing, and to come away from each session feeling more aware of their postural alignment, with added mobility, stability, and strength of the entire body. All attributes that have a positive impact on daily life. Whilst focus and precision will be asked of you, the broad range of creative repertoire that Pilates offers provides room for playfulness as well.

When she’s not doing Pilates, you can usually find Rebecca cooking up a storm in the kitchen or scheming about her next travel destination.
