Amanda Betlehem

“Our bodies are our homes. Our bodies are worthy of care and appreciation for all the incredible things they do.”

Amanda first discovered Pilates as a dance student looking to manage back pain and hypermobility. She was also diagnosed with a mild scoliosis that had caused some imbalances in her body. She went on to train to a professional level in contemporary dance and has an extensive background in performing and teaching. These experiences have contributed greatly to her skills in teaching, refining and progressing movement.

For Amanda, the Pilates method is ideal for balancing mobility, strength and stability whilst developing mind-body connection and postural awareness. With over a decade’s experience teaching movement to children, teens and adults, from absolute beginners through to pre-professional dance students, Amanda’s approach is collaborative, supportive and motivating. She has developed an exceptional ability to read movement mechanics and find just the right cue or instruction to progress her clients to the next level.

Amanda is passionate about finding movement that allows each individual to feel and function best. Her personal experience of scoliosis and hypermobility means she understands what it’s like to feel limited or concerned about movement, and can help clients overcome this to feel capable and strong. Pilates has led Amanda to find an empowering understanding and confidence in her own body and she looks forward to sharing this with all of her clients
